These are not my designs, but my designs are quite similar. Classic wooden runabout boats provide nautical inspiration for Barina Crafts home bar furniture. Most of them rotted away, this one is perfect with the Mercury 58A outboard that runs like a clock. These boats were handmade and they are very rare, very few exist today. I have found similar designs to the initial two hulls I will be producing, these images are attached. This would be at a minimal profit margin, viable because profits will rise as production increases. This 17 Chris Craft Deluxe Runabout antique wooden boat is in excellent condition. I would offer these hulls at $20-$30,000 USD depending on design/size/fittings. Schooled in Belgium in yacht design, he has created a considerable stable of boat designs.
I would like no more than two main re-sellers per continent. The Runabout 14 (RB14) designed by Jacques Mertens-Goossens of is one such craft.Jacques has been building and designing boats for most of his life. I would like to hear experessions of interest (if there are any) and suggestions for people to contact. After Australia I would like to expand to Europe and America as well. I will be looking for partners all over the world, Australia being the first location as this is where I was born. (Due to shipping and quality standards.) The main purpose of delivering these boats unfinished is to allow customers or distributers to choose thier power/control set-up. Engine/Rudders/Props etc, will not be installed.
Basically each boat will be a wooden hull with all the interiors and chrome finished. At only 14 long, the RB14 will never be mistaken for a restoration of a grand runabout that regularly wins awards at wooden boat shows, but it is no slouch in. I have a number of projects in the works at the moment, one of which is producing some wooden runabout style boats.įor this particular project, I will be building a number of runabout style boats of varying designs.
